Dr. Hard Patel
Ph.D, GSET, M.A. (Economics)
Dr. Hard Patel has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in Economics at the Faculty of Commerce, GLS University since June 2023. With a teaching experience of 6 years, he has completed his Doctorate from Gujarat University. He has formerly worked at IIM-A as an Academic Associate. His research roles include extensive participation in research projects of the Ministry of Rural Development. He has also presented various research papers at various State, National, and International level conferences and has to his credit publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has cleared GSET in 2021.

Dr. Marzun E. Jokhi

With more than 2 decades of teaching experience and distinguished academic record, Dr. Marzun Jokhi has a strong academic presence in the field of Accountancy, Taxation and Finance. He holds a Master Degree, is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) and holds PhD in the area of Forensic Accounting to his credit. He works as a Director, Faculty of Commerce at GLS University. He provides his services as a resource person/subject expert at Institute of Chartered Accountants, Institute of Cost Accountants, Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat and several other institutions of repute. He is a member of Board of Management of GLS University and PhD Guide at GLS University. He is guiding numerous PhD Scholars in their research pursuits. He is a member of the Editorial Team of GLS Voice. He is actively involved in editing, reviewing and writing books for graduate and post graduate students. He has two best paper awards at national conferences to his credit and has presented several papers at national and international conferences. He has, to his credit, several articles and research publications in reputed journals, magazines, conference proceedings and has also co-authored books. He has rich & diversified experiences in areas of Academic Administration, Teaching & Research. He participated in International Immersion programme at California Baptist University, USA.

Dr. Bimal Solanki

Dr. Bimal Solanki has 25 Years of academic experience of teaching in the area of accounts and commerce.
He is with the Institute right from the inception in 1999. He has done his Doctorate in Commerce in the area of “Profitability and Liquidity Analysis of Pharmaceutical companies of Gujarat State”. He is the In-charge of the Post-Graduation department ( M.COM ) from last 15 years . He has been to Czech Republic University of Pardubice for his Ph.D student exchange programme. He has attended and presented research papers at Kuala Lampur Malaysia, Colombo Srilanka, Tashkent Uzbekistan and various Universities in India. He has authored and co-authored more than 25 books on Accountancy.

She is associated with Faculty of Commerce since its inception in 1999 and has over 22 years of experience as a faculty in the subjects of Accountancy, Taxation & Management.
She is a certified Chartered Accountant and brings her professional excellence to nurture the academics in the institute.
She works as coordinator for CIMA & ACCA, UK Courses conducted by the institute and also delivers lectures at different levels of CIMA & ACCA, UK Courses .
She has completed her Ph. D. in Inter Disciplinary topic of “The Assessment of Human Resource Accounting Application in Educational Institutions of Ahmedabad”.
She has attended many state, national and international seminars and presented papers. She has coauthored various books at undergraduate level.
Theatre being her passion, she is actively involved in various dramatics activities at the college. She also integrates activities undertaken by FinTax Club.

Her interest area in research is related to finance and commerce with specialisation in the area of Merger and Acquisition. She is the coordinator of ‘Steps N Style’ – A dance and Fashion Show Club. She is also the coordinator of ‘Parent Teacher Meeting’ of the institute.

She has been working as an Assistant Professor of Accountancy and Commerce in Faculty of Commerce (SMPIC) since 2002. She worked as a member of Governing Body of Women Development Cell of Gujarat University for the period 2009-2012. She has been member of the editorial team of GLS Voice, a monthly newspaper run by Gujarat Law Society. She has State, National, International presentations and publications to her credit. She has received her doctoral degree in “A Study of XBRL (Extensible Business Reporting Language) and Its Practices in Listed Indian Companies”. She visited University of Pardubice, Europe as a research scholar under student exchange program in the year 2017. She presented research papers at international conferences held at Srilanka and Malaysia in the year 2017 and 2019 respectively. She is a Ph.D. supervisor (Guide) in GLS University. She is a Placement Co-coordinator as well as the Coordinator of CIMA, UK course. She is a member of PRISM (a college magazine). She is in charge of Folk-Dance activities.

Dr. Devyani Chatterji has around 21 years of academic experience. She is M.Sc. (Gold Medallist) in Statistics and has received her doctoral degree in “Mathematical Formulation of Inventory Systems for Deteriorating Items under Varying Demand Rates”. She has received I. M. Nanavati Best Research Paper Award for the research paper titled “An EOQ Model with Exponential Amelioration and Two Parametric Weibull Deterioration” on the I. M. Nanavati Research Day 2020 celebration organised by GLS University on 19th January 2020. Dr. Chatterji has strong academic presence in the field of Statistics, Mathematics and Research Methodology. She has also provided her services as a resource person/subject expert at National Sample Survey, Ahmedabad and BISAG – A Satellite Communication Network Service to provide distant education which is a State Level Agency of Government of Gujarat. She has many State, National and International Presentations and Publications to her credit. She is actively involved in editing/writing books for graduate students. She is the Co-ordinator of Statistics Club, Research Group and Quiz Club. She has guided many students in preparing research projects.

Dr. Nidhip Shah

Dr. Nidhip Shah is an Assistant Professor with Faculty of Commerce, GLS University. He has 7 years of teaching experience in the area of Accounting and Taxation. He completed his Masters in Accounting and is a proud Alumni of our institute as well. He completed his Ph.D. in the area of ‘Impact of Mergers and Acquisitions on the financial performance of selected companies of India’ from School of Doctoral Research and Innovation, GLS University. He was conferred with Best Research Paper Award for his research paper presented in the One Day International Research Conference organized by VIVA, Institute of Management & Research, University of Mumbai. He attended several international conferences and presented papers. He is an ace choreographer and trains the students for Dance and Fashion show.
